How it all started

In the year 2005 the founder of SPECTACULAR MARINE TREASURES, Ms. Anna V. Legaspi , a lifetime marine aquarium hobbyist , had the impression that the business run in the Philippines was mainly based on one goal, making money as quick as possible, not concerning about the longtime effect caused by scruples business and indecent collecting of fish and invertebrates. Not only the animals collected where of poor quality with huge mortalities, the reef as an environmental place was harmed for decades to come.

From her passionate hobby a new profession was born and SPECTACULAR MARINE TREASURES. established

Not going for the big money, but for the highest standards ever since is the success formula that makes S M T now one of the finest exporters in the country. And being selective in quality both when it comes to the animals picked and their buyers!

Started in 2005 with supplying only a few smaller customers, nowadays we supply to 12 countries across the seven seas.
